What is MMU……..

    Yesterday was a fine day, but my sad emotions overwhelmed me. Raining quite heavily in the morning made me skipped 10am tutorial class. Woke up around 10am, and design the flyers for the Field Trip to Cubic and chuck… it’s already 11.30am. Harry miss call me and I haven’t even take my bath. Ooops, he had to wait for me too bad. That brings us to lunch at noon and got late to class. When we open the door of the class room, the lecturer pause for ahwile and few students turn around and stare at us. Standing up there, scanning fast for places to sit down. All the back row was full and lucky I saw two place just 2 rows below.

Sitting in the lecturer hall, not listening to the lecturer, don’t know what he is teaching about, Harry beside me playing Pokemon with his phone, and what can I do at that time then? I was lost at that moment gazing around students in the hall, and not many of them actually listen to the lecturer. Yes there are some, who are concentrating to the lecturer. But i don’t think they understand exactly or fully what the lecturer are teaching.

Let me share with you what make MMU students love to skip class so often and if they have a choice they wouldn’t want to attend any lecturer session that isn’t efficient at all.
1.     The air-cond in there, is freezing cold. Morever, lately here in Malacca we are in raining season. Once, I wore 2 piece of top wear with a sweater and a long jeans pants, I still freeze in there. The coldness can make u feel like you are going to catch cold soon or get fever. After 4-5 hours of class, I can feel my body is so tired fighting against the coldness in the class. Not only that, it takes much of the food I ate to consume heat on my body. So, in order to stay not so cold in there, I have to eat more and yet I get hungry quickly because all the food I ate had burn out to keep my body warm. The mineral water that you bring in there, will become cold water like the one u just took out from the fridge. Even your phone’s screen have a layer of tiny little water on it when u come out of the classroom. Palms and fingers are almost numb. You hand simply feels like an ice cubes. haha…..
2.     The seat and table there is not ergonomic at all. What we have there is bench of seats. And it is made of wood. Not those good quality and soft wood K!!! I would say the table there is alright. Hmm the same quality as the bench la. For table, we don’t need to place our backside on it. The distance between the table and the bench is too far away. When we sit down, we have to bend our body in order to reach the table. During days when we have 4-6hours of classes, we got tired of bending and keep shift around for the best position.
3.        Crappie lecturer. Till now, I don’t find the university lecturers is better than my high school teacher. They are very good and qualified lecturers. Indeed, they have master certificate, PHD, many years of experience in teaching. Ohhh this is all bull shit. I don’t find them delivering a quality teaching at all. They are not making the students understand the whole chapter, they are like telling the students what is there in the lecturer notes which everyone of us can get it through MMLS. They read it for us in the class, like we don’t know how to read it. Even when they explained it, they just simply say it out without getting any attention from the students, and their explanation to the chapter is not brief at all.

4 . Lighting in the lecturer hall. Always they will turn off the white light and sometimes will turn on the yellow light. The dark lecturer hall in there made u feel like day dream or start sleeping. It’s not bright, and u hardly get to catch a glimpse of the face of the lecturer and also his facial expression can hardly be seen under the dark.
5.     With OHP, projector, computer, bla bla I don’t know what’s the exact name of those devices. But I know one thing for sure, this is what people always call it as high end when your university is equipped with such updated gadgets in every classroom. All high school around our country is aiming to get those gadgets to install in the classrooms. What’s so good about all this gadgets living in every classroom huh? It made all the lecturer or tutor’s job EASY. They don’t have to write anything when they are teaching. Just prepare all the slides in a pen drive or transparency, and then show it on the white screen. Stand beside the gadget, use a pen or laser light to point at it and start bla bla blahhhh blahhhh blahhhhh blahhhh. All the materials that the lecturer prepared is all shared equally in the MMLS as well. The explanation is clear enough in the lecturer notes.Why go to lecturer class then?
6.    Weak communication skill that engineering lecturers have. They can teach all the way when no one is actually listening to them. No interaction between lecturer and students during the class. What is actually a class for MMU FET students? Students sit up there, don’t listen to the lecturer, and the lecturer stand down there with microphone shouting and shouting and yet the students don’t give a damn. No questions orally deiliver to the student to make sure the whole class achieve an average understanding.
7. Why go class? because this is university!!! We need to be audience to the lecturer that get paid through our expensive tuition fees for class session and also importantly attendance. We need at least 75% of attendance to be qualified in the final examination.

A Shoulder To Lean

When everything out there turns me down, when the whole world brings me down to hell, and when no one around is caring about me, I know for sure that I have my cousin brother who will always be a shoulder for me to lean on. He’ll do his best to comfort me, be by my side to accompany me. Scorpion understands Scorpion best.

There is so much emotions that will affect our life. We wouldn’t know such emotions will exist till we experience it. What ever kind of emotions, it comes from something. I’m not saying that we should blame it on somewhere when we had a miserable emotions. What I mean here is that, every emotions has its roots. And it’s best for us to figure it out.

When a girl is feeling sad, what she needs is only a shoulder that she can comfortably leans

on till she fully heals herself. Someone who cares her enough be by her side. Just sit by her side with her can actually makes her feels better. She needs not whatever solution to her matters because she is good enough to think things through. What she needs is just someone for her to bring back the strength in her. A shoulder to lean on is an uttermost being that any woman would need. (I got this from an audio book of Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus and find it TRUE)

It hurts the most, when u see someone you care and love so much fight with you and see streaming tears.To think of it, my eyes go wet. Forever and ever, I would not want to face all this fights and give my best tolerance to avoid it. Sometimes, life is full of thorns that it shakes off your emotions and weaken your patient of everything. I felt really sorry for every wrongs that I had done. It seems like I’m losing grab of myself. God has his eyes watching on us and I believe I deserve anything bad upon me.

Upper Six Science One

This is the name of class that I’m happiest studying at although that was the worst time of my failing life that I’m afraid of even now. (SGGS) St. George Girls School located at Pulau Tikus is the school I will never ever regret of entering regardless of how much it takes.

Classmates all are like my good friends. Teachers keep spoon feeding everything into us. Our class are labeled as the noisiest class in the school. That’s because we have talented people like Lit, Neenee, Nana, ME, Cheahcheah, and almost everybody. We have only one Indian student and the rest are Chinese who know how to speak Hokkien! Yah Hokkien Lang rocks!

Hokkien Lang have variety of famous food such as Hokkien Mee(prawn mee that’s damn delicious, every seep of the soup taste like heaven) and Hokkien Char. Ah that’s what I know la.

Want to know why the class is filled with FUN and GLORY? Let me tell u, it’s because it’s filled up with

1. Lit,[Libra] the super smart girl in talking. Lots of idea and questions in life and made everyone come up with an answer. Always with the “Sharing is caring” and “cute and adorable” and “money is everything”
2. Me, [Scorpio]good at laughing.. I create the fun of class because my laughter made the most noise and everyone enjoy laughing together. Always with “Love is everything” and “studying is everything”. Too naive that time.
3. Nana(Selina) [Libra]always with the sister’s love story from IMU, travelling story to many places, and her untrue “beloved” Miss Loke.. the Maths teacher, parents’ selling Hokkien Mee story of customer. Wa her story wont finish one. Always got new stories to tell.
4. Neenee, [Saigitarius]the joker of the class. Always with good result is a must and a kiasu. very good at funny critics .
5. Cheng,[Taurus] Liying[Libra] follower of Lit. Of course they have very much to talk in class also.
6. Chearcheah,[Taurus] always adorable and cute that are great at scolding and cursing at teachers, prefects and rules.

**Libra people is born to be “cakap banyak”.. talk a lot. There are many more Libran in my class.

Life at U6S1 is precious to everyone of us. The fun and joy in it never made u doubt to live your life because it’s so happy to talk about anything in the class and any opinion can be taken from anyone. Everyone enjoy chatting about anything a bunch of girls would say. Topics like siblings, courtship, funny customer, weird teachers, future, parents, and many many more.

Here back in uni, people don’t simply talk about their family because most of us stay far away from family now, never talk about lecturers because everyone skip class and don’t learn through class, never talk about future, because the future is too far,2 years more to graduate. And so, we always talk about the low existence of girls in FET or pretty chicks around. It’s all because now my friends are all boys. Before my friends are all girls and it’s much fun.

Gosh, think writing is healthy because it made me think of the past that are happy and forget about heartache that i am having.

On my Birthday

My Birthday Eve

Everyone celebrate 21st birthday once in their lifetime. Mine was simple, but to me it means a lot to me. Up to now, the birthday celebration was within my family members and friends around my hometown.

The first round was with my god bro, Nicholas Tan. He came down all the way from Penang to fetch me out for dinner. We ended up in Sunway Carnival Mall. Since it’s my birthday eve, he gave me the option to choose which restaurant to dine in. Though Japanese food was way bored for me, but i still choose Sakae Sushi.

My god bro always call me to talk over the phone, and when I am back, he will come fetch me out to meet him. Lucky that I meet such person in life. He speaks very fluent English and grown up in Australia when young. He is a guy that did badly in his high school time, didn’t do well in SPM, and didn’t do well in his college as well. Graduated on marketing at diploma level and a year younger than me.

During his college, he is into racing motorbike. Always out on the road, and went to many places to hang out. Many people out there know him and also he knows many people out there. Even drugs seller also he knows. But he has a very successful parents behind and a complete family that he loves dearly. That didn’t lead him into selling drugs.

Do successful parents produce successful child better? I think so. Years back in form 4, I met his parents before and they are great. We were gathering at his house as a patrol in a training camp to complete tasks. This boy that always live comfortably at house didn’t survive well in the training camp. I remember it was a hard time for him in the camp.

With a diploma on hand, and an outspoken person, he is doing great in Insurance line. Surprises me that he did drastically well in his career. He become a matured man, that stop gaming, stop wasting time for nothing, just concentrate fully on his career now. The pay that he had got now is huge for a fresh grad like him. He no longer talks about rubbish, he talks about his work now. 100% commitment he put in his work now.

As a conclusion, doing badly in studies now doesn’t mean u won’t be able to do well in career. Result doesn’t stand much in life.

After that, I meet my ex bf. We have a long drive from Seberang Jaya to Raja Uda then to Bukit Mertajam then to Auto City. To my surprise, he brings me to Starbucks when it is around 11.30pm. And when we were ordering, he asked me to choose a cake for my birthday. I feel delighted with that. Never ever I would imagine he will do such surprise to me on my birthday. I never aspect he will have the thought of buying me a cake on my birthday. That was the first cake I got.
